About this series
These paintings are meditations on the interactions between colors and how they inform sensation. Beyond that, however, they represent a number of experiences that I've had in my own time at St. Olaf College. Each presented location is an actual place I've been drawn to in a heavy moment of uncertainty. I use bright and saturated, almost rainbow-ey, coors because they portray things with beauty and express things overwhelmingly. It is in this space for creation that, with these paintings, I express the very real and contradictory sensation of both delight and disorientation.
